Anyone who wants to pluck chickens should first scald them in order to be able to remove the feathers cleanly and easily. This is precisely what the Wiesenfield WIE-PPS-50 plucker with scalder makes possible, which is the ideal solution for completing this otherwise laborious and time-consuming task in just a few seconds.

The poultry scalding tray - the best tool to prepare for plucking
The 55 l poultry soaking tank that equips this device is made to accommodate 3 - 5 chickens at a time. It has a powerful 1800 W heating element that ensures a rapid temperature rise to the desired parameters, i.e. 60 - 65 ° C in the case of chickens. To facilitate the immersion and recovery of birds, the tank contains a stainless steel basket measuring 29 x 29 x 51 cm.

A large dial allows you to adjust the temperature inside the soaking tank according to the size of the birds. Although a setting of 60 to 70 °C is sufficient for most species, the scalder provides a maximum temperature of 85 °C. Its thermostat ensures a stable temperature and is ideal for all types of poultry. An on/off button completes the simple and reliable control elements of the poultry scalding tank.

Scalding - the key to great results
This high-quality appliance has a 50 cm diameter drum, which plucks 2 to 3 chickens per cycle. With a capacity of up to 270 kg/h, it is suitable for commercial use. Its high performance is made possible by a powerful 3300 W motor and a food-grade stainless steel drum rotating at a speed of 1,440 rpm. Inside the drum, 136 specially arranged ribbed rubber fingers remove the feathers while protecting the skin. As these fingers are made of natural rubber, they have an excellent service life. And if they ever wear out too much, you can replace them without difficulty.
In addition to feathers, the rubber fingers remove dirt from the skin of the birds. A large chute allows the plucked feathers to be removed with a garden hose. To simplify cleaning, a collection container can be placed underneath. The plucker shown on this page is suitable for different types of farmed birds: duck, goose, turkey, pigeon. The size of the animal (≥ 1 kg), much more than the breed, is decisive.

The plucker with scalder is easy to move thanks to its four castors, two of which are equipped with brakes. Made almost entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and with a long service life, it is a real asset for all farmers as well as for farms, breeders and hobby breeders.
